Leroyworld

Otherwise known on Hubpages as Leroy64. The profile image is a picture of ratatouillie, a dish that I love to make and eat. 

I am a Texan, living in Dallas.  My background is in architecture.  My passion is about food and it's role in our lives.

I am definately a city boy; but, I do know enough about farms that I can tell the difference between a bull and a cow.  It bothers me that some people do not know the difference.  How many cartoons out there feature a bull with udders?  

We seem to be losing a fundamental knowledge about what we eat, a key element in our lives.  It is just not smart to accept food without knowing where it come from; or, to insult those people who prepare and serve your food.  A little education about food would go a long way.           

Food is primal part of life.  I cannot ignore something that I cannot do without.  If someone wants to make money off of my need to feed, then I am going to have some standards that they have to meet before I even consider doing business.  Judging from the articles flying around the web, this attitude seems to be building among the US consumers; and, it seems to be developing in other countries that have plenty of food.  Those places that have little food available are facing a more serious problem.  

Unfortunately, there is still famine in the world.  In places struck by famine, whatever the cause, bad food is better than no food at all.         

The main point of thiis alter ego avatar is to concentrate on and research food issues and to keep tabs on all of the great food articles that keep turning up on Hubpages.

My other avatar is leroy64.  The articles will wander around a few more subjects than this avatar will.
